Supporting Western Sydney, Blue Mountains & Hawkesbury

Vulnerable and financially disadvantaged individuals and families from all backgrounds in the Western Sydney, Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains local government areas desperately need further essential goods and support to enable them to function and take their place in the community. "In 2016 recognition of this need brought together a team of skilled business and community minded individuals, to aid in the direct relief of poverty in our community and so Christmas Smiles, later to be rebranded ‘Community Smiles’ was born."

“Myself & my teens have come out of a refuge, we had absolutely nothing as we were starting again from long distance in a strange place. Jess selflessly helped fill my home with the essential things we needed to get back on our feet. I had no car & very little money to even know where to begin , but Jess took time out of her days to keep up with me to see we had what we needed. I don't know what I would have done without her and Community Smiles. Beautiful people who so kindly put their own hearts into helping us on the right foot.”

- Amanda, Werrington

“Community Smiles supports Gateway Family Services by obtaining strategic Christmas gifts for upwards of 1200 people each year. They started supporting this effort in 2016, and we could not reach that goal without them. Their team are amazing and have a real knack of bringing smiles to our very own volunteers too. Our clients sometimes break down in tears not being able to believe how much our community care. Community Smiles also supports Gateway Family Services with referrals and networking together with projects throughout the year.”

- Heather Gwilliam, OAM, FM, Gateway Family Services (Blaxland)
